PVP Gameplay

Initial Release

At the initial release of the game, fighting gameplay will revolve around 3 main PVP game modes:

  • 3 vs 3

  • 5 vs 5.

  • 10 Player Free For All

Player within our game will be dropped into a variety of different maps and arenas that will change the way that the player will have to play the game. These arenas will hold a lot of nice visual details so that there is always something to look out for. Due to the amount of arenas we have, adaptiveness is key to victory.

How will the PvP be balanced?

Skill expression and mechanics are one of the most important aspects of PVP battles to be indicative of a player's in game skill, not just the items and stats they've been able to buy/collect. This is why we have implemented two separate systems that will work together to make sure you have the best possible matchmaking experience within MeccaGalaxies.

These two systems are as follows:

  • GearScore/Powerlevel: This value is essentially a weighted calculation of how strong your mecha is, based on item rarities and stats. Changing your items/equipment will affect your Meccas GearScore.

  • Matchmaking skill rating: This is equivalent to "MMR" in other modern games. It's a measurement of your in game skill and mechanical ability. As you win and lose games, your skill rating will adjust to your performance on a point system.

When applying for a match of arena you will be put in a bracket based on your Gearscore so that the disparity in power will not overshadow your skill. Once you have been put into these Gearscore brackets, you will be further split into a separate bracket based on your in game matchmaking skill rating. This means that your games will be balanced in both power and skill giving the player a much better and fun earning experience within these pvp game modes.

When increasing your Gearscore bracket, you will also carry over your Skill Rating over from your previous bracket. This means that even though your power has gone up, your skill level will still be balanced around your own personal skill.

MeccaGalaxies ladder system

Within the MeccaGalaxies team we've always thought of ways that allows players to grow fame and fortune within our game. This is why we believe a ladder system will be best for our community. We will have two ladders tracking the players Gearscore and the players Skill Rating. This ladder will be a global aspect to our ecosystem and can be tracked by any player at any time. This will show everyone both the most powerful and most skill full Mecca Pilots to the rest of the community. We will be giving out rewards to these top players every two weeks in honour of their power and skill.
